MEET FLEUR

Fleur is a lovely young lady of around 18 months old who came into our care with her four babies.

Fleur has done a wonderful job raising her kittens, who are now growing up and starting to find homes of their own. With her mum duties coming to an end, it’s finally Fleur’s turn to be the centre of attention.

She’s a lively, friendly and playful girl with plenty of personality. And there is one thing Fleur takes very seriously — food! She absolutely LOVES it, so you can be fairly certain she’ll never let you forget when dinner time is approaching.

Fleur enjoys human company and is a sweet, affectionate girl once she gets to know you. At only 18 months old, she still has plenty of young-cat energy and would love a home where she gets lots of playtime, interaction and attention. She’s past the tiny kitten chaos stage, but she’s definitely not ready for a quiet retirement just yet.

There is one thing Fleur is very clear about — she really isn’t a fan of other cats. After raising four kittens, she has apparently decided she’s done her time in the feline social club. Fleur will need to be the only cat in her new home, where she can happily have all the attention to herself.

We don’t know how she feels about dogs, so any introduction would need to be carefully managed. Cat-savvy children who understand and respect a cat’s boundaries should be fine.

Fleur is looking for a family who will give her a little time to settle, plenty of affection and play, and of course, keep that food bowl topped up.

She’s raised her babies and done her job as a mum. Now it’s Fleur’s turn to find someone who will make her their much-loved girl.

ADOPTION INFORMATION

All Coast to Coast cats and kittens are desexed, have received their first vaccination, are microchipped and are up to date with flea and worm treatments.

All cats under 5 years of age also come with 30–42 days of free pet insurance.

We are based in the Bay of Islands, Northland. Please ensure you are able to travel or meet transport requirements when applying. Transport is generally limited to Northland and Auckland.

This adoption fee goes towards the cat's costs of:

• Worm and Flea treatments
• De-sexing
• Vet Book
• Vaccinations – based on age of cat or kitten. A booster vaccination may be required.
• Microchipping and Registration

Trial and refunds

Your cat or kitten will be on trial for 14 days. If for any reason the adoption does not work out by the final day, we will refund your adoption fee back to you. Coast to Coast Cat Rescue has made every effort to ensure that all cats and kittens are in good health however, undetectable illnesses may be incubating at the time of adoption. Coast to Coast Cat Rescue holds no responsibility or financial liability for any future illnesses or injuries that may present in the cat or kitten once adopted.

Important information

We understand life changes so if for some reason at any point in the future you can no longer keep your cat, we require that you contact Coast to Coast Cat Rescue and we will take the cat back into our care for rehoming. We have strict policies when it comes to re-homing our cats to ensure the fit is right for you and the animal. We reserve the right to decline any adoption of any cat or kitten to any person or persons if we believe the home would not be suitable.
