MEET ELTON

Elton is a gorgeous ginger and white fluffy boy with a funny little tail caused by a genetic quirk that makes him all the more unique!

He can be a little shy when meeting new people and would love a quieter home with older children if there are any in the house. But once Elton knows you, watch out! This boy turns into an absolute sweetheart who LOVES affection and will happily show you just how much he adores you.

He’s also great with other cats, so he’d be quite happy sharing his home with some feline friends.

Elton has previously had cat flu, which has left him with a slightly blocked tear duct. This means his eye can occasionally get a little watery and need a quick wipe to keep it clean. (Viral infections, particularly feline herpesvirus, can cause inflammation and damage around the eyes and tear ducts. This can sometimes leave a cat with ongoing tear drainage problems. There’s nothing wrong with his eye that needs treating – just a bit of extra face-wiping now and then!)

ADOPTION INFORMATION

All Coast to Coast cats and kittens are desexed, have received their first vaccination, are microchipped and are up to date with flea and worm treatments.

All cats under 5 years of age also come with 30–42 days of free pet insurance.

ADOPTION LOCATION & TRANSPORT

We are based in the Bay of Islands, Northland. Please ensure you are able to travel or meet transport requirements when applying. Transport is generally limited to Northland and Auckland.

This adoption fee goes towards the cat's costs of:

• Worm and Flea treatments
• De-sexing
• Vet Book
• Vaccinations – based on age of cat or kitten. A booster vaccination may be required.
• Microchipping and Registration

Trial and refunds

Your cat or kitten will be on trial for 14 days. If for any reason the adoption does not work out by the final day, we will refund your adoption fee back to you. Coast to Coast Cat Rescue has made every effort to ensure that all cats and kittens are in good health however, undetectable illnesses may be incubating at the time of adoption. Coast to Coast Cat Rescue holds no responsibility or financial liability for any future illnesses or injuries that may present in the cat or kitten once adopted.

Important information

We understand life changes so if for some reason at any point in the future you can no longer keep your cat, we require that you contact Coast to Coast Cat Rescue and we will take the cat back into our care for rehoming. We have strict policies when it comes to re-homing our cats to ensure the fit is right for you and the animal. We reserve the right to decline any adoption of any cat or kitten to any person or persons if we believe the home would not be suitable.
